A job opportunity has come up for us in Sandpoint, Idaho. I was wondering if anyone here lives near there and could tell me about it? It looks like a beautiful area, and I went on the city's website and saw they have a natural food co-op and a few other natural looking resources. I'd mostly be concerned about finding a good natural doctor there (right now I see a functional medicine OD). My other leading concern would be how many sources for real food there would be, and if it's really expensive or not. The co-op's website looked expensive compared to where I am now (Pullman, Wa). Anything you could tell me would be great! :)

Anyone live in or near Sandpoint, Idaho?
Sandpoint is beautiful, but small. There are quite a few "crunchy" people up there. If you can find someone who orders from Azure and get on there drop you should be able to get decent prices on good food. There is a farmers market up there, that I've heard is good, but never been to (I live in Coeur d Alene, about an hour south). I have a moms group North Idaho Natural Families. You can find us on facebook. We have a few members in sandpoint.

Good luck!

Oh geez, from Pullman to Sandpoint? No contest, I bet you'd be happy once you get used to the more independent kind of mindset. May take some time hunting down all the people/farmers you need, but they're here. I'm shocked every time I go to the Moscow co-op because the prices are just insane(ly high) to me. Oh, and Spokane's South Hill is getting a Trader Joe's next month. So a monthly or every other month trek there wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility - at one point I knew a gal working in a hotel in the valley that lived way up in Sandpoint, and commuted every. single. day., rain, snow or sun.
