Midwife for Charles Town, WV area

Hi!

 

I'm new to this forum but am looking for a midwife in the Charles Town, WV area. I am not pregnant at the moment but my husband and I are actively trying and hope to be expecting soon.  Does anyone have suggestions?

Are you interested in a homebirth or hospital birth? Would you prefer a CNM or a CPM? I can send you some names, if I know what you're looking for. smile.gif

I'm pretty sure I want a homebirth but still undecided.  A birthing center is the other option I would consider but as far as I know there aren't any in this part of the state. I believe Winchester, VA has one though. As far as a CPM or CNM I don't have a preference, it would depend mostly on their personality. Although I have read CNMs are more likely to be covered by insurance.  Any truth to that?

 

Any info or advice you can send I would greatly appreciate it!
