Call me crazy...

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to check and see just how early you "knew" before you got your official BFP.  I will find out for sure tomorrow with a hpt.  If I am not, I would be really surprised.  My clue is that I have been having the wierdest symptoms, such as, more active dreaming, fatigue, stuffy feeling in the head, heaviness in my pelvis with slight cramping and ovary pain.  Excess drool, gas, and potty trips (nice...) and some slight nausea and cravings, saurkraut and sircha (hot pepper sauce) anyone?  By my calculations I would be about  three weeks.  AF would have come knocking in about a week.  Am I crazy and wanting it to bad???  Anyone else just know?  Or my brain could be working its magic and making my body think I am PG.  What gives???

I honestly "knew" around 7dpo. I started testing then and just knew I was pregnant. I kept cussing at the tests because I knew I was and they kept popping up negative! The only symptom I really had that caused me to know was exhaustion and nausea/food aversions. Good luck! Your symptoms sound promising smile.gif

Hello!

Personally, I didn't feel pregnant until well after the HPT. I actually didn't believe the HPT at first because it was so faint and I really didn't feel different.

If you're at 3 weeks, that would "normally" be 7DPO, which is too early for a test. However "normal" is a useless word, as almost no one here has the mythical "O at CD14, AF at 28" cycle.

Occasionally people will test positive at 7-10 DPO, but it's also a great way to make yourself crazy squinting at a pee-covered stick.

I had a very very faint line at 11DPO, and a nice strong one by 13 DPO.

Your symptoms do sound promising! But keep in mind other things can cause similar symptoms to pregnancy. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

I knew something was up at 6dpo, then by 10DPO I felt like I really knew.  I knew last time with my other one very early, even though we lost that one

Thanks!  I am a little bit of a short cycle girl.  Normally, they would be about 25-26 days and I would O at about CD11-12.  I have been taking a herbal blend called Fertility Blend and it has lengthened my cycles to 27 days.  Sooo, I wonder if it is early for me to test.  What are your thoughts on that?  How early is too early?  I suppose I could just take the one test I have tonight and then test again later if I got a BFN.  Then again, I heard you should test in the morning to be sure that you have concentrated HCG.  Would the same effect be had if I just "held it" until tonight?

But I agree that my symptoms look positive...  One can only hope, right?

I knew at 10dpo when I got a faint line on the FRER.... I still don't feel that pregnant. My face is breaking out like a teenager today, but I'm not feeling sick or anything.

testing with FMU (first morning urine) is the best and most accurate way to test! DP just told me this to talk out of testing one evening when I couldn't take it anymore.

BEST OF LUCK!

I never test before 10 DPO.  I knew something was up when my boobs were sore at about 7 DPO.

Both times, I've known before getting a BFP, specifically because my CM never dried up, which should happen shortly after O if you're not pg.

Good luck!

I started having symptoms at about 4 DPO- sense of smell was wacko, peeing all the time, insane gas, food aversions, excessive thirst, etc. I kept telling myself it was in my head, it was just my period coming on, but I knew.  I tested at 7 DPO- obviously negative. Then I couldn't wait any longer at about 13 but I took a test in the evening and it was negative again. Finally on the 17th DPO I used the tests (2) first thing in the morning and got my positives then.

I kept having baby related thoughts even before those first symptoms started showing up though (hanging up laundry and thinking, "it's a good thing this baby is a girl"), talking at my belly without thinking about it... stuff like that.

So yeah, definitely possible! My first two I had no idea until I was farther along. With Nigella I was feeling serious symptoms for about a week before I clued in, and with Orrin I had no idea at all, it was my SIL who told me to take a test and she was right!

Thanks ladies!

I succumbed to the testing temptation last night and got a BFN.  It was on 7DPO so I am not surprised.  I am going to restock on tests today and test 11DPO,thurs, if I can wait.  EM, good point, my CM has not dried up either.  Still hoping for that BFP.  How soon before AF can I test?

I would suggest not buying tests until the day you are going to test, and I would wait until at least 11DPO.

Ohhh janellody, good one.  It would be easier to resist the temptation of going into a crowded store and getting them than using them when they are in the bathroom!  I just might do it.  Thanks! winky.gif

Yep!  Good luck!

I started feeling like I was pregnant by 7 dpo.  My first clue was sore and swollen breasts.  A few days after that I was also nauseous and bloated.  Tested at 10 dpo and got a very faint positive, another slightly darker bfp at 11 dpo, and then at 12 dpo an unmistakable BFP.  Good luck to you!
