Am I a good candidate for a VBAC?

With DD I had a planned c-section.  Planned a few days before my due date.  Baby was measuring "big" (ended up only being 8lbs. 11oz), I was not dilated at all and my cervix was up so high doctor couldn't even feel it.  Doctor gave me the option, but said she thought if I waited another week that baby would only get bigger and then if I was induced it would likely end up with a c-section anyway.  So obviously I have learned A LOT since then and regret not trying to let my body do it's thing.  But from this, do you think I would be a good candidate for a VBAC.  Hard to know how much truth the doctors are giving when in this area there are hardly any pro-VBAC practices.

I certainly think there's no reason you shouldn't try! You absolutely have no contraindications :)  Waiting for baby to pick his birthday is nearly always the best plan, even if you plan an RCS. And even ACOG doesn't recommend c/s for "big baby". Find yourself a pro-VBAC provider, a great doula, and a bottle of patience.

You can do it!!

Absolutely! You need to find a provider who is really VBAC supportive though, and not someone who just gives it lip service.
