Dear Mothers,
Â
I recently ran across this thread while further researching TheraSuit. I noticed several questions about locations, cost, and whether this service is effective.
Â
I am a PT in San Antonio that has been trained in the TheraSuit since 4.2010. I assure you for the right patient it works wonders. If you are struggling with doctors there are plenty of research articles available as well as plenty of videos posted on you tube that show the before and after differences. Typically, if I have a doctor that is struggling to catch on I call them for the family and explain what we are doing.Â
Â
I have had wonderful success with insurance covering the treatment as it is billed the same as traditional therapy just longer time lengths. In fact it is a bonus of insurance because you get larger gains in three weeks verses paying out a year of therapy.
Â
Suittherapy.com has contact information that will tell you every location they have trained in the method.Â
Â
In San Antonio, Christus Santa Rosa offers therasuit as well as University Hospital. From what I have heard, Christus takes very few sessions a year. I work at University. There was an OT in SA that was trained, but I am not sure that she is still offering the service???
Â
I hope this is helpful and thank you for all that you do in advocating for your children!
