I took an old amber glass dropper bottle and added about 50/50 mix of melted coconut oil and jojoba oil. Then I punctured about 3 liquigels each of evening primrose and borage oils (I take these for my skin but recently purchased a fish/flax/borage blend so I didn't need the individual ones) and put that in the dropper bottle too, shake it all up. I keep it in the bathroom. Now a quick sidenote: coconut is solid below 75 deg I think so if your house is cool I'm not sure if it would stay liquid mixed with the jojoba, but probably would.
Anyways, I put a dropper or 2 in my hand and rub it into my face, neck, all over, massaging it in, getting the blood flowing, leave it for about 1-2 min, then take a hot washcloth, as hot as you can stand it and scrub all the oil off. Dry off and spritz toner.
The premise of the oil cleansing method is that oil attracts oil, so as you massage it in it is collecting all the dirt, extra oil, etc. and when you scrub it off, you wipe it all off along with dead skin cells, etc. It does not make my skin oily, in fact it balances my skin in such a way so that I don't need much moisturizer but it's not oily at all. I have normal/oily skin normally, getting oilier as my period approaches.
The Evening primrose and borage oils have GLA in it which is great for.....ahem.. aging skin... I'm referring to myself that is :) it keeps the skin supple and fresh looking.
Some people use all kinds of oils, grapeseed, apricot kernel (this is a good one too) but I like the blend I made for me. Experiment with it and you might like it!
