Lactation consultant in Portland?

Hi there ladies!  I'm trying to find a lactation consultant in PDX, preferably eastside, but I can really go anywhere in the metro area.  I've heard great things about the services at Zenana, but they won't bill insurance, and the initial out of pocket costs would be hard for us.  If that's my only option, then I'll do it, but if I can find anyone else who would bill insurance (and also come highly recommended!!), then it would be nice.

I'm having issues with over-supply, which is causing a terrible latch, leading to some serious fussiness.  I've been in contact with the local LLL ladies, but I found out that my insurance will reimburse 100% for lactation services, so I figure I might as well give that a go as well.  If you've seen anyone in Portland that you like, please let me know!!

zenana wont bill ins but they will give you all the paperwork needed to submit your claim. i had to do that, and i got a full reimbursement from my health ins. it was pretty simple. btw, meg at zenana is GREAT!

*Full disclaimer*-I am a private practice lactation consultant in NE PDX...that being said, I just wanted to let you know that many of us in private practice provide a fully coded super bill for you to submit for reimbursement if you insurance provider covers lactation care. Otherwise, you can check with the hospital lactation clinics who will usually submit for you but that doesn't guarantee coverage unless you already know your insurance will pay for lactation care. Good luck finding the support you need. The world of lactation care and insurance billing is an on-going headache for many of us!
