Concord, Nh area GENERAL EVERYTHING!

Thread Starter

We moved to NH just this August and I'm expecting  a new baby in October, so I'm still in the process of finding EVERYTHING.

Can anyone suggest the best farmers markets, CSAs, stores, doctors, local secrets...

all is welcome! We live about 30 minutes from Concord, but that is the nearest city.

:)

Thanks!

Hope this isn't too late to help you

I also live about 30 minutes from Concord and we are expecting our LO in January:)

There is one in Concord on Capitol street (right next to the capitol building)

here is a site that has a lot more info on farmers markets in NH: http://www.nhfma.org/

Anything else specifically?

Oh thanks!

Never too late :)
We've only been living here 2 months...and I'm having a baby any day...so we're still getting settled, as you can imagine.

I am in need of a doctor though!  The great lead we had is no longer taking new patients.  We just want to find a family physician who is more natural minded.

Have you tried Dr. Sawyer at Family Care in Concord?  We love him- he has been amazing with our family and very respectful in terms of personal choices.

Hi there! I live in Concord so maybe I can help you out a little..

Farmer's markets: There is one in Concord on Capitol St. during the summer months (ends at the end of this month, I believe on Saturday mornings). There is one in Penacook, which is a village just north of Concord on Monday evenings (4:30, I think) but that one just ended. There is also a winter farmer's market in Concord that, I believe has their own facebook page. I have never been.. oh, yea, here is the page: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10150849253765635&id=586110634&ref=notif&notif_t=feed_comment#!/pages/Concord-Winter-Farmers-Market/266879322366. There are actually a lot of markets around here. I bet a google search would uncover them.

Concord also has a regular arts market (weekly during the summer/early fall I believe) which is fantastic!!  Ooh- and if you're up for it...an amazing downtown Halloween celebration on Friday, October 28:)

New Farmer's Market is starting in Tilton (15 minutes north of Concord) - just west off Exit 20 (at the old Agway building).

Saturday mornings...I think I heard 15+ vendors. January thru March 2012.
