Holy crap! bigeyes.gif Awesome!! Your hard work is really paying off, mama.  You are amazing and your boobies do rock -- it isn't your boobies fault poor mr finn had such a tight mouth or tongue ties!!  I think you are fabulous.  Keep it up, mama!   Grow, Finn, grow!!

At birth Seth was 9lb 8oz, then day 3 was down to 8lb 14oz. By day 7 he was back up to 9lb 10oz, and has been growing constantly ever since. (He was also 23 inches at birth!)

We go back for the 3 week check up on Tuesday, so it will be interesting to see how heavy he is by then.

DS1 was a very slow gainer, only 2-3 oz a week for the first few months, so its quite a change to have a baby that is gaining so quickly. I have to keep reminding myself that he is only 2 weeks old.

DD has gained 4 pounds, 3 ounces since birth.  She's 5 weeks 3 days.  Thank the sweet lord for my ample ample supply.  Her latch was just awful.  I'm honestly surprised she's gained what she has.  Hopefully the tongue tie clipping will help her to get milk a little more easily.  She's gassy as all get out, but at least she's gaining okay.

That's wonderful! Especially with her tongue tie and hospital stay. Great job mama and Martha! We need some new pictures of her.

Malcolm had his 4 wek check today and was 13lbs even. Up 1lb 1oz from his two week. He was  10lbs 4oz at birth and only ever dropped to 9lbs15oz.

WOW- what is your secret??????  I wish I could make that kind of milk.  DS has to go to Dr again next week to ensure he's gaining enough weight.  I think he's just petite like the rest of our family but they worry me with constant weight checks :(  Are you drinking dark beer :)?  Everyone claims that's the trick- too bad i love wine!!!

LOL on the dark beer front. I haven't even thought to have alcohol. Although a beer does sound good. I'm more of an IPA girl myself...

I think my only "secrets" are that I have ridiculous supply, and that we nurse all day. I probably only go 30 minutes max between daytime sessions. From our first lactation visit I know that DD was only getting less than half an ounce per feed. But half an ounce multiplied by all darn day works for DD I guess. I just thought that's what babies did!

I hope DD is giving you a little more time between nursing times at night?

Exactly the same for us! Unfortunately Finn just didn't grow!

Alexander is now 13 lbs, up from 9 lbs 2ozs at birth. He only ever lost 2ozs. So he's gained just under 4 lbs in 7 weeks. I haven't measured his height at all, but just by sight I'd say he's grown at least an inch, maybe 2.

DD finally measured past her cousin's birthweight (10lb7oz) today: 10lb 8oz. And what comes to mind is: how the HECK did my sister push out a baby this size?! bow2.gif

Magnolia had her 1 month today and she was 9lb 6 oz (with a diaper on, so I'm guess she's probably actually a few ounces less than that), which is up 2 lbs from birth (7lb 5 oz) and she's 21.4 inches long, up almost 2 inches from birth! She never lost any weight due to the stupid hospital shoving formula down her throat just as much and often as they could (still bitter about that).

When she was born she was right on the 50% mark for both height and weight, now she's down to 25-50%. I was a super small kid and still super short, and DH is taller and heavy, but it seems like Magnolia is just going to be average size which is good.

My dad was my grandma's third baby and he was just an ounce under 12lbs. She told me that he used to get the hiccups every night in utero and it shook the bed so much my grandpa would get out of bed and go sleep on the couch.

Morgann was 6lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches at birth. 6lbs 9 ounces at 2 days. 7lbs 7 ounces at 1 week.  8lbs 4 ounces and 21.5 inches at 5 weeks.

Augustus was 9 lbs 4 oz at birth, 10 lbs at 10 days old, and is now 13 lbs at 7 weeks old. He has a healthy appetite for sure.

Seth has gained a whole lb in the last 2 weeks. Last weigh in at 7 days was 9lb 10 oz and yesterday he weighed in at 10lb 10oz.

We certainly don't seem to be having any feeding issues or weight gain issues like we did last time. The single biggest difference with nursing my boys seems to be that Seth has a much stronger suck. He can drain me out on either side in 15 min (and that's a lot of milk), while Aiden was never able to completely drain me no matter how long he was latched on one side. I'm thinking now that the hospital insisting on giving him formula by bottle taught him to have a lazy suck that he never got over. Another reason to never go near a hospital ever again to birth my babies.

Liam's up to about 12.5lbs at 4.5 weeks. (Estimated using my bathroom scale, which isn't digital, sadly.)

I measured him last night and he was 21 3/4 inches. He was 21 at birth. That normal?
