I read one of dd's teen magazines and it had some new, inadvertently hilariously euphemistic categories for body types that I guess are courtesy of the childhood obesity epidemic.  One was 'curvy tummy.'  I was telling a friend about that and her husband chimed in with 'that's what I call food pregnant!'  Between the snacking and the bloating, I have been either food pregnant or poop pregnant for a couple of weeks now, but was lying down the other day and cramping and could actually feel the outline of my uterus.  It was bigger than a baseball, but smaller than a softball.

SOOOO I guess that IS part of what's making my tummy curvy right now.  Will have to post pictures of my food/poop/baby bump soon.

Yours are all adorable!

Thanks everyone!

Haha, that's funny but true. After I eat my tummy is definitely bigger, same if I need to use the bathroom....

I have no idea how big a softball vs. baseball is. Totally not into sports in this house. I keep thinking I can feel my uterus when I'm lying in bed at night, but then the next day it isn't there or the lump has shifted so I think I'm just not really able to feel it yet. When its there I figure it'll be pretty obvious!

Hey Ladies,

It has been so fun to be here.  However, today is a very sad day at my house.

Another loss.

Blessings to all of you & your little sprouts.

Oh, skeema! I'm so sorry grouphug.gif

I am not sure how to make this less huge, so I am going to apologize in advance and hope someone can help me figure it out before the next one, but here's 8 weeks, 5 days, first thing in the morning so it's baby instead of bloat.  I think it's pretty huge for being so early but dp, who could never be a politician, keeps saying I look more like a normal (i.e. potbellied) person of my age, not a pregnant one.  At any rate, I had to start using rubber bands to keep my work pants closed this week.

I am so sorry Skeema.  Blessings to you too, and sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.

Layne, you look adorable....I do agree with your DH a little - you could still totally pass for not pregnant :-) I think I'm going to start with the rubber band trick this week too...and I'm only 7ish weeks!

I've gotten bigger in the last week ~ I didn't take many pictures when I was pregnant with either of my boys, so I'm making sure to document this one more thoroughly - especially since it will likely be our last. Sorry if it came out huge -- I am just glad it wasn't sideways like my previous one!

I don't think the size of any of these pictures is an issue, fyi.

Layne - You COULD pass for a non-pregnant woman, but the belly is DEFINITELY there!!  Much more than I have now.

Meredith - Your belly is coming along nicely :)

Awww, cute belly Meredith!  You are so lucky to have no stretch marks!  Did you do anything to keep your skin in good shape in your earlier pregnancies?

Thanks, Janellody.  I feel like it is so obvious, but only one coworker had suspected, and only then because I was dizzy and needed to sit down.  I've gained enough weight that my leg joints all hurt all the time, but I'm afraid to step on a scale yet, so I'm not sure how much that is.  My frame just doesn't support much weight well.

If you legs are bothering you now, I would try different shoes. I have worked retail through both my previous pregnancies and if I didn't wear good shoes I my legs would be killing me.  I know they are ugly, but I swear by crocs when I am pregnant.

I fit running shoes at work, so I am in excellent shoes (Brooks Glycerin, less than a month old).  The issue really is that I have been athletic most of my life and have a lot of old injuries (including a bad sprain less than a year ago), a family history or arthritis, and really am not built to carry more than about 120 pounds.  I have never been above 130 pounds without major joint pain, despite years of yoga, weight lifting, running, etc.  Right now, squatting to watch people's strides and check the fit of their shoes is really hard.  Getting back up is harder.  Running up and down metal stairs and concrete floors is excruciating, but my days off hurt too.

Cute belly maggie :)

Aww Maggie such a cute tiny bump!

Layne, hahah I do have stretch marks! That is just flattering lighting there in that pic -- I got horrible stretch marks with both boys. I used Palmers and Mederma afterwards and they faded but they are still there - you see them better in front-on shots. If I can find a way to re-size, I'll post a pic of my stretch-mark covered belly at 8 months pregnant with my last one. It will make everyone feel better about any stretch marks they have/get haha!

I love all these cute belly pics!

I am hoping to be able to contribute to this thread in a couple weeks.. although I do have a bigger belly now, it doesn't look cute and pregnant like your bellies do!  I just look fatter, lol.  Maybe in a few weeks we will have lots more pregnant bellies to show off!
