Just Got my BFP!!!

Hi all!

DP and I have been planning for an unassisted birth for baby #2 long before there WAS any guestimate as to when #2 would be arriving. We finally decided to ttc #2 RIGHT as I was ovulating this past cycle, and I got my BFP yesterday!

We're both in shock...we weren't quite expecting to get pregnant on the first go, but I'm BEYOND excited and looking forward to participating on this board a whole lot more during these coming months. I know there's tons of info over here that will be super helpful.

I am 23 (will be 24 at this birth), DP is 27, and ds is 2 (dec. 2008). We are also planning an unassisted pregnancy barring any complications. DP is completely on board, and we aren't particularly close to any family that would dare say anything against our choices, so it's looking like a fun next 9 months!

I had ds in a hospital (after transferring from the planned birth center)  with pitocin augmentation after a VERY long prodromal (?) labor, and my midwife beginning to wonder if I might be a true C-section case. *siiiiiiggghhh* I did have ds naturally aside from the pitocin that instantly jump-started the labor, but still...it wasn't quite what I had in mind as far as a natural, instinctive, calming, educated birth goes. lol!

Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi! and join the gang over here ;-)

Yay, exciting!!  We're unexpectedly expecting our third, lol.  I'm 7 weeks, 5 days and planning a homebirth, most likely UC.  Maybe our babies will be born the same day! :)

YAY! We're on baby number five but it looks like it will be UC #3 if all goes well. The nearest birthing center is about 2 hours from us and hubby has put his foot down on the idea of ever going to a hospital again unless all else fails. So, are you planning a water birth or a land birth... lol (Is there a term for non-water birthing? Just birthing I suppose)

definitely a water birth! Which would be another first for us ;-) Your DH sounds like mine! There's no way he'd EVER step foot in a hospital for another birth unless it was clear as day necessary. And the same goes for a birth center as we both feel like they failed us on the last go. It's nice to have your partner so on board!

I have had two water births and loved them! Congrats!
