Hi Kel, some women do not get EW very often, but have several days of creamy. Are you getting creamy at all? Or just sticky, one day of EW and back to dry?

There are several things you can do to increase your fertile CF. As the pp mentioned you can try expectorants containing guaifenesin which is the active ingredient in Robitussin. Just be sure to pick up one without all the extra, added ingredients for colds. If medication does not appeal to you there are other things you can do, too. Here is a site with some ideas: http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/vitamins-cervical-mucus.html  Typically taking a look at your diet and making improvements where you can helps with everything fertility related. Are you taking a prenatal vitamin? Getting enough calcium, magnesium, and omega-3's? Stuff like that.

The average time for conception varies greatly for women over the age of 35, but I've seen it most quote at 1-2 years. There is certainly no harm in getting a check up, but after 35 TTC can be a long journey and not indicative of any problem other than being older.
