Hi wise mamas,

 

My DS and my pregnant self are renting part of a house as I need to be close to my aging grandmother for the next 1/2 year or so to help my mom with her care. The beautiful apartment comes furnished, with a nice bed, but the mattress is just a regular old mattress. We are pretty set on sleeping on something safer and have safe mattresses at our "regular" home (out of state). I don't have the option to get my mattress here, and even if I do, I don't have the option to get it into the rental space to replace what is there, as I'm renting by the month, so I can't change too much around....

 

Is there some cover that can go over a mattress to prevent offgassing? something that will make me feel better about sleeping on it while pregnant and having my two year old sleep on it?
