Filmmaker Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon will present his documentary, “CUT: Slicing Through the Myths of Circumcision”.

The event will also feature a special guest, Ronald Goldman, PhD, psychologist, educator and author of Circumcision: The Hidden Trauma and Questioning Circumcision: A Jewish Perspective.

 

 
"Cut" is a documentary film which examines the subject of male circumcision from a religious, scientific and ethical perspective. Using cutting-edge research, in addition to interview footage of rabbis, philosophers, and scientists, "Cut" challenges the viewer to confront their biases by asking difficult questions about this long-standing practice.
 
The film will be shown at Jamaica Plain Cohousing on 9/27, 8 pm, 65 Cornwall St. Jamaica Plain (grey and yellow building). Enter courtyard, turn right, walk through vestibule at the end of the walk, and turn left into the function room. A $5 contribution is requested but not required.
