I am 33 weeks pregnant, and am wondering which vitamin supplements should I be taking while BFing? I have heard to just stick with the prenatal, which I probably will for a little while, but it seems to me that a pregnant woman has different needs than a BFing mom. My prenatal has lots of iron, which I dont think I will need that much while BFing. I also believe that vitamin D and calcium are important while BFing, and my prenatal doesnt have much calcium. What other vitamins are important? Is there a supp especially for lactating women? I prefer whole foods based supps.
