fosston is super cute. what's the poundage on him? arlo was born the day before fosston but i don't think he could sit in bumbo like that yet!

here's arlo today ~ but mostly i want to show off this vest i knitted him today, too. i've never knitted a vest before so don't look too closely :) i get a kick out of making him clothes and stuff even though it's dorky and i'll have to stop before he gets to be too cool for mama's handmade duds! :)

Oh God no teeth yet!  I'm dreading the day that happens!

I'm not sure exactly how much he weighs we haven't had a proper weigh in since his last visit with the midwives at 6 weeks.  But I did measure him today and stood on the home scale with him so he's about 25 inches and 13 1/2 lbs but he seems heavier than that to me.

He's been looking around and holding his head up like crazy so I just thought I'd try the bumbo and he really liked it!  He's such a big boy now.  I can't believe how fast he's growing.

He looks like a little toddler!  So handsome!!  I love the vest, was it hard to make?  I'm kind of a novice knitter but I really want to make him some clothes.

His eyes really are beautiful.

thanks :)  i'm no great knitter but i actually sorta made it up as i went along - tho consulting some similar patterns along the way. i couldn't find any patterns that i liked and required the needles i have access to. i taught myself to knit (ok, youtube taught me to knit) over some longies i made a few months ago. this vest i actually used the longies pattern from the waist to the arm pit - since it's basically like the beginning of pants, then consulted some free ravelry.com patterns for how to fanagle the armholes. technically i should have knitted the arm holes and neck line afterward but i wasn't having it and just crocheted the edges :) gives it that "my mom made this" look

Cute vest! It's great!

Aoife couldn't sit like that in the bumbo yet...she's 10 weeks today. Her neck is definitely getting stronger but not quite ready for bumbo time. She weighs 12lbs, 2 oz and is 22 inches long (up from 7lbs12oz at birth).

I love his vest! I love the "my mom made this" look! I wish I could knit...I'm joining a knitting circle to learn, I tried to teach myself at home, but I'm having trouble casting on and geting more than 5 loops before I end up in a knot.

Ash had his 2 month/9 week appt. yesterday, he wighed in at 12lb 15 oz (8lb 15oz at birth) and 24 inches long (20.5 at birth) so he's growing nice and strong!

getting his ears cleaned :)

oooh do you have a boxer, too?!?! so cute!

Oh yes! I love our Boxer so much! His name's Jack, and actually as a puppy, he was waaaaay more high maintenance than a baby! haha, he had Parvo, then a few months later he got hit by a car, so he's just happy to be alive! He's funny though, any time I leave the room Asher is in, Jack follows me, and when I get to where I'm going, he'll look at me, then look back towards where I left him, and look back and forth like "you....you just left him....you left him...are you gonna go get him?...you left him alone..."

Narleegates-every time I see your Asher I smile and think of that cute pic you put on facebook with his little tie and converse.  He's so fricking cute!  I love love love the HP onsie!!

Is it just me or does our DDC have some of the cutest babies ever?!

I love the way our dogs act.  Whenever I start feeding Fosston Muggles comes over and sits in our lap as is to make sure I'm doing everything all right.  She loves her little brother and is so protective!

I might have posted this already but here they are together

yeah i love the doggie baby pics... i gotta get norma up here with arlo... i had a friend whose dog got more aggressive/protective with their new baby and they are really struggling with the dog right now... i was worried that maybe norma would be weird since she's been an "only child" for 7 years! but actually norma is fine, maybe even a little bored with the new baby thing, like she's so over it. i just hope norma's around long enough for arlo to remember someday cuz that dog has been a true pal :)

Aww thanks- his eyes are same color as mine so we shall see if they change or not- if they don't then it will be my first and only light eyed child.

Aoife looks super sweet and chubby!
