complaint:  I am feeling really anxious about starting work in 1.5 weeks.  DP is going hunting and will be gone for 5 days; he then come back on the day that I have my first on-call shift.  We'll see how it goes.  I'm not really excited about going back to work and am not sure that the money I make is really worth it, but we will see.  It might be that I have anxiety in anticipation and it will work out fine.  If not then we will change things.

Feel Good:  I have decided that I need to create a better rythymn/routine for our family during the day.  It will take a little time and planning to get things going, but I think I can work some things out so we have less melt downs by DD!

Carrie, I really feel for you on giving up soy. I can't believe its in bread of all things. I usually make my own bread and have several really easy bread recipes if you want them, some don't even get kneaded so are really easy.

Feel good- I was able to start tackling some of the house work today and made pretty good progress.

Complaint- MY FAMILY (more specifically my sister). My mom is elderly (mid 70s) and quit her job and went back to college last August. I was really proud of her and things are tight but she's making it on her small social security payments. My sister is in her late 40s and got fired over a year ago and still hasn't found a job. She's single and making it on her child support payments (which will end in May) and her 401k, she has tons of credit card debt- she finally got smart and quit using them, but eventually that company is going to want their money back one way or another. I was just informed today when I mentioned staying a little longer in GA when we go back for the holidays, that they are all supposedly moving to SC in May. They don't know anyone in SC and I know when my sister finds some man or another to run around with she will dump my mom. I just don't forsee any of this going well. My mom's an adult and I know she can make her on decisions, but I have a feeling this is going to not be a good one.

Thanks ladies.  I already feel a thousand percent better and it's only been 2 days on antibiotics.  I'm convinced the infection just didn't quite get knocked out.  However, I think I need to work on Elliott's latch because I keep getting a cracked nipple and that can let in bacteria from his mouth.  In hindsight I remember getting a cracked nipple on the right boob weeks ago and that's when I got mastitis on that side.  Out of the 7 times, it's been on both once, just the right once, and five times just on the left.  He often nipple sucks because the milk comes out fast.  I am going to be more vigilant about correcting his latch.  I was careful today and did notice a difference.  I have done soy lecithin for awhile, I rarely wear bras, I don't sleep on my belly, etc, etc.

I have to call the doc in the morning and if she won't call in the rx for 14 days for me, I'm going to go to someone else.  Thanks ladies.  Thanks for listening.  Thanks for the well wishes.  Thanks for being my buddies. :)  Here's hoping the correct latch and a longer course of antibiotics does the trick.  I don't want an 8th episode.  No fair. On top of that, I have Raynaud's which is manageable, but it's been really bad the last few days with the colder weather.  My nipple goes totally white...I mean seriously...totally white, then purple, then blue, then back to pink.  It's very painful, but it doesn't last too long thankfully.  I'm hoping breastfeeding becomes comfy soon.  Can't complain too much...love my little boy sooooooooooooo much!

Heat after nursing can help with the vasospasm. Something like one of those rice bags in the microwave applied to the breast. I remember reading about a counter pressure technique a while back, similar to reverse pressure softening that was used by some women to relieve the pain with Raynauds. If there isn't anything under Raynauds like that at kellymom then maybe search under RPS. I'm not sure where I read it, either in a text or Lactnet perhaps, kellymom is a start!

Carrie and Bree.... here's hoping that you both get some pain relief soon!

Leave her with the sitter and just take it easy, as easy as you can.  Veg out, watch tv.  Resting counts!!

Nald, chin up mama...  You can do this.  Today will suck, tomorrow will be brighter.  hug2.gif

Today I'm feeling good that I'm getting Mt. Laundry sorted.  I have been dumping clean laundry straight from the dryer and into a pile on the guest bed for 8 weeks now.bag.gif  Maybe that should be in the confessions thread...  But it just needed to get done.  So I put on Linda Ronstadt and I've made serious headway.  I've also done some major sorting out of stuff -- getting all the baby stuff that's too small out of rotation to go to Goodwill, etc.

NOOOO!!! I think of you often - I would literally probably die without soy at this point in my life.

Thank you all for your supportive words- a sucky day got worse and i dont have the highest hopes for tonight.  One REALLY GOOD thing is I didnt use any bottles today- nursed all day and he fell asleep once DH came down from putting DD to bed- so at least I have hopes he is building up my supply.  One good thing accomplished!

babycakes:  I was at Wholefoods yesterday and looked at their brand breads, almost all of them are soy free--the multigrain one was not.
