I'm really just here to check on Val. We have fairy dust  for conception, sticky  for getting through the first tri, what's for quick, easy, healthy labor? I'm going to re-purpose the vibes one for a great labor.

Dh is a pain to get gifts for, so I'm not sure if I could give him like a physical gift. I think he'd do better with a congratulations to us gift and then a nice card that I can write something special in. I'm thinking of checking out our local bakery and seeing about getting a small cake or something edible. Since we're not close to any family we won't be getting a cake from anyone else so I think that's what I'll do as a surprise.

And I finally got my ultrasound and it's a BOY!!!

Birdie:  I'm sorry about the bedrest, that's really unfortunate.  Other possibilities are maybe audio books, and even just reading.  I got Grapes of Wrath out of the library on cassette for my husband to listen to while he's working by himself (while I do the light duty tasks inside) and he's really enjoying that.  It was a bit hard to find a walkman, though.  Anyway, you can probably find some of the great classics that you've always wanted to read but never found time for.  I recommend The Brothers Karamazov for something to take up a lot of time while remaining interesting.  I'm sure you've thought of books, but if I were you I would want to do as many different things as possible, I think, to break up the time into smaller chunks.  I hope it passes quicker than you thought possible.

Ram:  I'm glad you got your ultrasound!  Congratulations on your boy.  Did you enjoy the u/s?  I liked it, it was really interesting.

Val:  I'm hoping radio silence means baby has arrived and you're taking a few days to babymoon.  I've been thinking of you and Jacob and your husband and hoping it's all going smoothly!

The ultrasound was fun Hykue. He was stuffed in their so we didn't get any full baby shots, but you could see everything really clear. It was very freaky to see all the ribs and heart chambers and everything.

Rosie, we've narrowed it down to three names and are just going to keep thinking about those until we make a final decision. We started with 6 names we both liked and then each picked our favorite 2 (we both picked one name so only have three). The names are Brody, Brennan, and Desmond.

Also thinking about Birdie.  I hope you are surviving bed rest!  That would drive me crazy.

Ram yay for a boy!  We didn't get any full body shots either but that is because they didnt give us any.  I don't know why and didn't even think about it because I was too excited/overwhelmed until afterwards.

I am officially full term tomorrow!  Not like that means anything.  Baby is still super high up under my ribs andnothing is happened yet.  I am going to start RRL tea and other natural methods though.  It can't hurt.

OMG, I was offline for 8 days and expected to come back to Val's announcement! The suspence is driving me crazy! (okay, crazier might be a better description )

We just got back from a trip to the west coast to visit family and friends. Kayden and I flew out there and then we drove home with DH (the why is a long story!). Anyway, Kayden flew like a champ and the drive home went WAY better than I expected! This poor kid has been hauled all over the western part of Cnada for 8 days with barely any down time, including 12 hours in the car yesterday and another 6 today. And he has taken it all like an old pro! I do expect hiom to have a bit of a meltdown tomorrow now that we're home, but I am SO okay with that considering how good he's been.

birdie - hope your bedrest is going swiftly (or it's already over because you're allowed to be up and abaout again!)

rambuzo - congrats on the BOY! Love the name choices!

everyone else - HI! Sorry for not enough personals! Must get unpacked and get some SLEEP!

Wow, LS that is QUITE the trip with an infant. Good job getting through it all! Any tips? I'm planning on travelling when ours LO is between 8-12 weeks to a family wedding across the country.
