New here- questions regarding my DD1 (3.25 years old)

Hi all-

I bought the Oak Meadow preschool curriculum and are trying to slowly move in that direction.  We have been a pretty mainstream family to this point.  (teaching letters, numbers, colors, shapes... workbooks etc).  We have been having a hard time with discipline with DD1 and have decided we have lacked consistency and rhythm in our day and are excited to use some of the Waldorf ideas.

Anyone have any ideas and hints for us?  We have recently got rid of bunches of the toys (still have way too many, but it is a process, right?)  I want some ideas for the little table for seasonal 'decorations' that the girls put together.  They are 3 and 1, so anyone have ideas for what we can put together?

Hi! Play silks are nice for.setting the scene on nature tables. Adding little tokens of.nature that they find is a way to make a season concrete...acorns, changing leaves. Winter squash they pick out from the growers market. A big-seeming gnarly tree root or piece of tree that is kind of like The Story of the Root.Children. Do you have Gerda Mullers books? They're great, especially for the young ones like your kids.
You may also want to look into Christopherus, Live Education, or A Little Garden Flower if you're interested in waldorf since OM isn't really. It was started by two former waldorf teachers but has moved far from waldorf.
Oh, the nature corner is a wonderful book for seasonal table ideas. I have to run now but I bet others will share lots of ideas!

Forgot to mention that DD2 put EVERYTHING in her mouth.  We are planning on having the fireplace mantle and table decorated as well, but I wanted a low area where the two girls could look and play with the nature items.

Thanks for the info about the home school programs.  I will look into them.
