Has anyone done this? I've UP'd and still plan on UC'ing but wouldn't mind checking in with a midwife once before the birth. How do you find a supportive midwife, especially so late (I'm due very soon!)

Checking in with a midwife once?

My best friend just had her first baby unassisted and she did this. I'm glad she did because the midwife helped her get a birth cert. She was really cool about her having a UC. She even saw her for a postpartum and when I called with questions after the birth she was very helpful.
I recommend talking to friends and finding out who all the midwives are and calling them. Tell them about your plans for an UC and ask how they feel about it.
I had my first UC without doing this.
