Woman/Family centered cesarean - info needed, please

Because of a surgery I had I can no longer deliver vaginally - Since I've had two prior natural vaginal deliveries, I'm trying to find a way to make this as peaceful/natural as possible.  I've heard a lot about Woman/Family centered cesareans, and have seen the video that is really good - I'm specifically looking for an article I read on it once that described the process.  I need to be able to mail it to my OB to see if she is willing to try this (if not, I'll find someone who will).  I'd prefer the article over the video, since I can't really send her a video, lol.

Thanks for those links - I may use them if I can't find specifically what I'm looking for.  It was an article that read like that popular youtube video that's been going around recently showing one.  It kind of described the process and gave examples.

i've been keeping my eyes out for the video---

is it this one?  it shows immediate skin-to-skin (but mostly is about breastfeeding rather than the birth experience..) either way, it's awesome.

My daughter was delivered onto my chest (elective C/S under spinal), the first words she heard were the central prayer of my faith, she was checked briefly, handed to DH, and then back to me in recovery where I breastfed, about 15 minutes after she was born (one of the benefits of a first-time planned, uncomplicated c-section is a very quick incision to closure time- 22minutes in my case).

We have a photo of her half in and half out of my abdomen- which is cool.

She was away from my side for less than an hour total during the 3 days of my hospital stay (and most of that was because I was in the shower or lavatory).

I didn't give birth in the USA though, but in the UK, where is no mandatory observation period in the nursery for C-section babes, and rooming-in is the default.

My OB is family friend, and he knew exactly what we wanted from her birth and strove to give it to us.

Be open about what you want, and see what they'll be willing to do for you- you might be pleasantly surprised.
