What does a plugged duct look like?

Im a new mom, dealing with mastitis and a plugged duct.  Im wondering how I locate the plugged duct to do massage? I have one duct that seems to be only giving like a thick yellowish milk. Is this my plugged duct?

It might be, but I wouldn't worry about finding the nipple part of your plugged duct too much.  If you feel along the swollen/red breast tissue toward your nipple, you're interested in massaging the firm part closest to your nipple -- the blockage may in some cases not be at the level of the nipple, but rather back a ways in the duct system, after which you will feel softer tissue as you progress closer to your nipple.
