Anyone on Pelvic Rest?

So I have been spotting for a week, and have had an U/S and levels drawn for it.  We saw the heartbeat on the U/S but we are still nervous since this didn't happen with my other two.

The midwife didn't mention anything, but I decided that since I have been spotting we are going to hold off on sexy time until about 12 weeks or longer if the spotting hasn't calmed down. BUT it sucks.  I feel really bad for my husband.

Anyone else?

Oh no!  With the crankiness I have had lately, I would probably have to kill dp if I had to do pelvic rest.  And then I would REALLY be out of luck because he is useful in other ways sometimes too!  I hope you two both survive!

I have been on pelvic rest for 2 weeks now. Only two more to go....hopefully! I am also on modified bedrest...I don't have to be in bed all day, but I can't be up walking and doing a lot on my feet. It's not fun at all. I was on bedrest for 10weeks with my first!!!

I may have placed myself on "pelvic rest" if I'm getting the definition. I know that it's fine to have sex, but I'd rather keep poking around and uterine contractions to a minimum until this little guy is 12 weeks. Luckily my dh is very understanding. stillheart.gif

I may have jinxed myself.  I had bleeding last night and went to the ER.  They did an ultrasound and saw the source of the bleeding but the baby is still in there (the US guy kept correcting me that he was an embryo, but I don't care) and had a heartbeat but it was slow.  I am also not as far along as I thought.  I have to find someone to do a follow up in 48 hours or go back to the ER.  I am staying in bed for a couple of days.  Work is not thrilled.  I don't care.  I really don't want to lose this baby.  No sex for three weeks, according to the dr.  Definitely worth it.  Trying to keep myself calm is harder.  I get more cramps when upset.

Good luck Layne! It will be worth it. :) And it's totally a "baby." Once you call it a baby, it's a baby. Sending happy thoughts!

Hug Layne.  How many weeks did they say you were?  We had an U/S at 6 weeks and some change and there was a slow heartbeat and they said it was just starting.

Thinking of you Layne!

They said I was 6 weeks and 1 day.  The U/S tech said it was the earliest possible day a heartbeat could be seen and that the baby was still just tiny.  The bleeding has slowed down a lot right now.  I saw my primary doctor and have an appointment for friday to recheck HCG levels.  I am supposed to stay in bed until then.
