ok seat or could do better?

Would an Evenflo Maestro be a good choice for a child weighing 34-35 pounds, at 42 inches tall with a seated torso height of about 16 inches? Is there a more appropriate seat? Child will be 4 in February. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's a fine choice.  The Maestro is a short booster so you will need another dedicated booster after this seat, but Maestro plus booster is still cheaper than other choices.  The Graco Nautilus/Argos and Britax Frontier85 are also seats to look at.

Considering his height, do you think I could get at least 2 years use out of a Maestro? And I don't suppose there are any seats that he could still rear face in, are there?

It's possible that he might fit rfing in a radian.  But the maestro would last longer and is cheaper.

I would think he'd last 2 years in it.  The harness height is a smidge over 18". Torso height tends to grow 1/2-1" per year.  It'll last just as long harnessed as the nautilus.
