My son has been gassy since birth it seems. He's generally healthy, actually really healthy...but he is gassy like no other. Even at one year old he wakes up every hour or every few hours at night and it seems to always be his stomach, he grunts and strains (like he's having a bowel movement), his stomach whines and gurgles. This is even when all he has had for dinner is breastmilk, cooked carrots & chicken, etc. It's almost every night, we co sleep and I am losing sleep and turning into a zombie mama.

Now that I read more and more about GAPS I realize his flora might have been unbalanced this whole time. Should I supplement him with probiotics? If so, any suggestions? Any other tips and advice would be awesome, thanks!

I think that probiotics are always a good thing, and I recommend these http://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Probiotics-Kids-3-4-Ounce/dp/B004H9O4VG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317102783&sr=8-1

It is certainly worth a try!  I would also be sure to feed him organic fresh fruits and veggies.  I noticed that while BFing DD would get tummy aches on days that I would eat ice cream(not organic), but not any other milk products.  I'm guessing it was all the sugar, maybe the chocolate?
