Smells...gag.

Anyone else suffering from severe smell issues? Any bad smell (garbage, body odor, smoke) is like 100 times worse now! Very few things smell good to me, even food that I enjoy eating smells terrible. The few times I've actually though, "Hmm, that smells good" have been spurred by clean things. Like laundry detergent or soap.

Elevators are bad news for me.

What are your triggers?

Bread.  I cannot handle the smell of bread.  For over a week now I've been smelling this weird smell in my pantry.  I've been avoiding the pantry at all costs, but yesterday the smell started seeping out into the kitchen.  I went in there (shirt over nose) and realized there are like 5 bags of bread in there.  My sister is staying with us and buys her own groceries and for some reason she has all this bread.  I threw away what was moldy and tried to get the rest in the fridge, but I gagged and barfed before I could finish.  She's going to have finish it, and quick because now I can smell it in the living room.  disappointed.gif

My toddlers pooply diapers.  Stinky kitchen trash.  Cat Food.

Cat food is the ABSOLUTE WORST.

Yesterday my husband tried to initiate sex and I just couldn't because he smelled so strongly of soap. Like I was in a soap factory. This has never been a problem before, and I'm sure he doesn't actually smell so strongly, but it was really uncomfortable.

Coffee.  Smells like poop, or barf.

And b.o., and spices (like on dh's steak last night. He uses this southwestern blend...almost ruined my supper).

Bathrooms, even if they are clean. in fact the smell of cleaning supplies is the worst.

Also some sound bother me now. My husband had chocolate chips on his sundae and the sound of him  chewing was like nails on a blackboard.

Brocoli- my fav veggie.... stinks and makes my stomach turn. But I still enjoy eating it....

The 3rd graders I work with after they have gym...OMG I almost barfed when they came into my classroom this afternoon. My classroom is really small too (only seats 4 kids) so I think tomorrow we will be working at the picnic tables so they can get an "outdoor classroom" experience. shy.gif

Also, last night, DH used a product called "Goo Gone" to remove some adhesive that had dripped on our tile floor. When I walked in the door after work, I grabbed DS and took him outside and demanded that (1) he open all the windows and set up fans eveywhere (2) wash the tile floor (3) never use that product ever again for any reason. 2 hours later, DS and I were able to re-enter the house.

Also red pasta sauce smells awful to me for some reason. Tomatoes are fine, its just the jarred kind (which I buy at Trader Joes and is usually one of my favorites!)

One of the employees at the gym was eating an orange as he walked through the weight room last week. The smell was awful to me and generally I love oranges. Last time I was pregnant I craved citrus. I moved the trash can where he had put the peel into the hall and tried to do the last two machines at that end of the room. He saw the trash can and moved it back in. I let him have it. He sheepishly emptied the can in another room. I don't think they are supposed to be eating in there.

Rotisserie chicken at the grocery store.  It is always so strong and I start gagging.  Changing diapers is rough also.

pulled pork. barbeque sauce. bacon

These smells make me want to hurl so bad.

Also, I haven't smelled it, but I just know that if I smell eggs cooking I will vomit. Ugh.

Peanut butter. Makes me want to barf.

I made a tuna sandwich for lunch today, but the smell of it killed me.

The big boys bathroom. I can't walk in there. Eventhough they've cleaned it twice.

the trash room at work today made me gag oh so much. I cannot handle trash.

The inside of my fridge (I even cleaned it on Sunday! There is NOTHING rank in there, although cleaning it almost killed me). I open the door and I want to puke.
The inside of my dishwasher, even just after it finishes a load of dishes and should smell clean.

Other people's breath- coffee/alcohol breath are the worst. So, uh, my husband. This is not abnormal for me in pregnancy- whenever we DTD I tell him to breathe facing away from me or we're done.

My brother cooks eggs here EVERY. DAY. And every day I open all the windows, regardless of how cold it is, and suck on an intensely flavoured peppermint candy (the kind that hurts your nose it's so minty) so I don't have to run to the bathroom.

Tomato sauce/red pasta sauce and garlic makes me gag now -- guess we won't be going out for Italian anytime soon!

ugg, just walking to the train in the morning is a challenge, trash, cat pee, musty buildings, then sitting on the train, people can smell so bad! sweat, perfume, cigarette smoke, their lunch, even the soap they use in the morning! the worst is that my husband walks with me sometimes, and he says he doesn't smell any of it!

Bacon is the worst for me. I was at my diabetes clinic appointment and the kitchen is right near their office. I had to divert to the bathroom because I thought I was going to throw up.

My fiancé's breath. It's not that he's not hygenic, but for some reason, unless he has JUST brushed, I can't stand it. I don't have the heart to tell him either, because he's so excited that we're pregnant, he wants to cuddle all the time.
