My chickens are terrified of my son's new muscovy ducklings!

My son got muscovy ducklings a couple of weeks ago.  We just started taking them out in the yard more and the hens and rooster are terrified.  We had an Indian Runner, before, and no problems like this, and the lady we got the ducks from says she used to house her's with the chickens (I don't know if they started out together, though).  The only reason I can think of why the chickens are afraid is that the ducklings are very not shy and run right up to them.  The chickens are more scared than of actual predators, and the rooster was out right running away, two days in a row, now.  Anyone else experience this?

It took a few weeks for our chickens to get used to our muscovies, but eventually the chickens accepted the idea.  They don't "hang out" with them, but everyone tolerates one another.  Just give it some time.

I guess I'll keep plugging away taking them out together!
