I'm in Louisville also, hello! There are homebirth midwives available down there. It's not illegal to hire them but they are put at legal risk by practicing. I had a great midwife at my home birth here, surprisingly enough didn't have trouble registering the birth or getting his first Dr. checkup. If you're far south enough some Nashville based MW's will go up to Ky. About finding a doctor, most pediatricians have bowed under CDC pressure and if they accepted non vaccinating patients before they don't now. But family practice groups still often will take non-vax/delayed vaxxers. Here in Louisville my sons see a family medicine nurse practitioner.

Hi all, I'm new here and also from Louisville. 

Turned 40 in May and my husband and I just decided to try to conceive.  Feeling nervous, but also hopeful.  I have an appt. at WomanCare for conception counseling next week. Needless to say, this is all very new to me, but I'm excited to have found Mothering, and other KY folks.  Cheers, Robin
