Recs for good books on Stranger Danger?

Especially for kids who might be a little (totally) anxious about random things? Especially for kids who are really outgoing and interested in people, and for whom you don't want to ruin that personality trait? Especially for parents who are pretty laidback but want to cover the basics because it seems kinda crazy not to?

First, "Protecting the Gift" by Gavin DeBecker.

Second, I would stop using the term "stranger danger" because it is almost never a stranger, and it could confuse your kids should something actually happen. "Well this isn't a stranger so this must not be what my mom was talking about."

The Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers

I know some MDC moms don't care for this series because it is a bit mainstream but I think they do handle some topics well. They do a good job on this one.

I do like "Protecting The Gift" but its for you.. not your kid.

I agree with the above. The book is a good resource and "Stranger Danger" is really an outdated concept.
