Swelling.

Someone please rescue me! LOL

My feet are SO fat. I had a doctor's appointment today. I asked him about it. He said, "Welcome to being pregnant." Gr. LOL It's nice having such a laid back doctor but DANG. My BP is fine though, and I passed my Glucose test and everything, so it really is just water flubber.

It's miserable. I drink a ton of water. I elevate my feet (When I can. I work full-time and go to school full-time). I soak in a warm bath almost daily. I don't know what else to do. My poor shoes aren't going to fit me when I'm not pregnant anymore because they're so stretched out.

Advice? Tips? Anyone wanna lend me a chainsaw so I can cut them off? =D

Well, keeping off your feet and elevating them above your heart as much as possible is the best thing you can do.  Good shoes is another.  Support hose could help and lastly, try Epson salts in a foot bath.  Otherwise, it's just another sucky thing about pregnancy.

From my midwife's notebook (that she gives all her patients)-

-Juicing equal parts of carrots, celery, and cucumber (remove seeds first). Add 1 teaspoon kelp granules. (also can purchase ready made juice with these ingredients).

-Increase your protein intake to 80 to 100 grams daily.

-Juice watermelon or winter melon- rind and all! The diuretic is in the white and green flesh.

-Use sea salt instead of table salt- the trace minerals are needed by your body.

-Drink distilled water instead of spring, ozonated or regular tap water.

-Take a daily B complex supplement and an addition vitamin B6 supplement in addition to your prenatal vitamins.

-Before each meal, take 10-15 Shaklee Alfalfa tablets.

-Hydrotherapy- swim!

-Soak in bath with epsom salts.
