Chart Help - Pinpointing O

I think FF might be wrong on this one.  Can some seasoned charters take a look?  I usually get a very obvious temp dip and then spike but not so this month.  I do have the very low temp on CD12 but even if I discard that FF is still giving me crosshairs on CD14.  What makes me question it is that I had a +OPK test on DC14.  Ever since I started using OPK tests I get a positive and then about 2 days later I ovulate.  I'm a little frustrated because we had sex on CD14 and CD15 and now I think might have missed the egg :(

That is a bit tricky. You're right, if OPK's are working for you then you should ovulate after the OPK+ and your CF indicates that you continued to be fertile past that OPK+ as well. Your temps are a bit ambiguous at this point and I think that the next 2-3 days will give you a more definitive answer. FF is seeing that CD 15's temp is significantly higher than the previous 6 temps such that a CL can be drawn to include all the temps after it. However, with your continued EW and W CF I might say that O was CD 16. If your temps remain in the mid 98's FF may move your CH's b/c it sees that CD 17's temp is actually the one that is significantly higher. Looking at your previous chart I see that your pre-O temps tend to be in the high 97's with your LP temps in the mid 98's. This is further evidence for CD 16. But you also did not log CF data past your O day last cycle, so we do not know if you tend to dry up immediately after O or if lingering fertile CF is typical for you.

If you DTD on CD 14 and 15 then sperm was definitely present for O on CD 16. Even though you might have missed O and O+1, you still have a good chance of catching that egg.

As best I can remember I don't dry up right away after O.  I don't continue to have super fertile EWCM, I guess back to wet.  Today it's creamy.

I was thinking maybe I need some more temps to be recorded and it might change to CD16.  The past two cycles I had ovuation pain but none this cycle.  I guess I'll just hope for the best.  Even if I did O on CD14 maybe I'll still be ok since we had sex that night.  I just figure once you O you are most likely too late.  Too bad it wasn't CD 15 ;)

Thanks for the insight.  I really appreciate it.

If you did O on CD 14, then DTD on O and O+1 is good, too!  I think you covered your bases pretty well.

Well, I've already answered in the nursing mamas thread, but I've got to say, the more I look at it, the more I think FF is on crack with this one. Yes, your temperature is increasing on the 14th but there's not much of a jump, definitely not the .2 degrees that's supposed to demonstrate O, whereas you do have that jump on cd 16. Your CF agrees with cd 16 but not 14 too. I bet you're right. Once  you have a few more temps in, I think FF will come to its senses and move your crosshairs. Sometimes it helps to remember that when it comes right down to it FF is really a very dumb program that doesn't deal well with variables outside the norm.

And just as an aside, I had a nearly identical temperature drop 2 days prior to O.

Today my temp was exactly the same as yesterday.  I'm just going to go with CD16, that way I won't test too early :)  Hopefully I'm covered either way.  My charts are usually so clear . . .
