subbing...

hi! Well, I have a tiny bit of weight loss- lost 4 pounds- but it is a start! So down from 150 to 146. and holding steady, even occasionally lower when I am focused on eating less fattening foods (not lately!) But for some reason I feel like I look thinner than I have been, clothes are fitting better, feeling more confident- somewhat- but still it is only 4 pounds less! I am not really able to sustain dieting but I continue to try to increase exercise.

Holding steady here...but I exercised today!  I had to strap on a twin, but I did 30m on the WiiFit.

ETA: actually I just scrolled up and checked and I am at 182, so officially down 2 more lbs.  I'm pretty sure I had got to 181, but I apparently didn't post about it.

Also, we are preparing to go gluten/dairy free and I think that is really going to help.  I think my body is holding onto weight as part of reacting to my diet.  I know I am dairy intolerant (but eating it anyway) and curious to see if removing gluten makes any difference.

Way to go!

I goofed for the last couple of weeks and ended up gaining back 2-3lbs I'd previously lost. I've just about gotten it back off, now sitting at 141lbs.

Mylittlemonkeys - I decided to go dairy free a few weeks ago to see if it would help ds not spit up so much, and not only has it helped him but my weight loss picked up too! Like I said above, I goofed for the last couple of weeks and ended up having dairy a few times. Well, guess what, ds started spitting up more again and I felt so bloated and yucky. Of course, it could be from eating other junk too. Anyway, I'm back at the dairy free thing again. I'm not even a milk lover, but crazy enough I started craving a milkshake just because I knew I couldn't have it.

I'm hoping my girls will spit up less, too.  I'm glad to hear it seems to be working for you!  I have had a long history of dairy intolerance and after awhile the cravings get to me, too.  It's really hard.

Weighed myself yesterday and was surprised to be down to 121.5!!  I had back to back pregnancies and haven't been this weight since dd1 was born.  After being pregnant for almost 2 years straight with dd2 and ds1 it's nice to be back in my clothes that I couldn't wear for a couple years.  Now I have to do some toning so there is actually muscle and not just softness.

I have been gluten free/dairy free for about 2 weeks now.  I discovered that corn is also an issue for me, so I've been corn free for about a week.  My IBS is under control, and I'm mostly not having cravings.  We found a gluten free/dairy free brownie mix and that helps not to feel too deprived (remember not to use butter, LOL).  I feel like I'm always snacking on something, mostly fruit/veg or rice cakes.  But I've lost 4 lbs.  I am finally under 180 for the first time in 4 years!  178 this AM.  My energy level is so much improved, house work is getting done.  The babies are sleeping somewhat better (they're also teething, so not feeling their best) and spitting up much, much less.  thumb.gif

nak somehow I've not posted here this month. Crazy how time gets away from you. I'm almost totally moved out of my rental and about to embark on a full time RVing lifestyle. No weightloss to report unfortunately.

That's fantastic! That was your goal right? Are you setting a new goal or switching to maintaining?

Yay! Getting under 180 was huge for me too. Glad the babies are doing better too.

Somehow I missed that you will be RVing. For how long?

This has been a pretty quiet thread this month. I am guessing as we head into the holidays it will only get quieter. I let my weight creep back up to 174. I worry with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday parties it will get worse so I am setting a goal for myself to lose 10 lbs by New Years. I am hoping this solid but attainable goal will help keep me on track.

I keep losing then gaining back a little of what I lost. Like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I just don't seem to have the willpower to do good on the weekends, and that is slowing down my progress. Oh well, I'm telling myself this may be the slower way to do it, but I'm more likely to stick with it this way if I allow myself a little fun. Anyway, I'm down another couple of pounds since I lasted posted a weight a couple of weeks ago. Now, if I can just maintain it over the weekend!

New weight - 139lbs

Best wishes to everyone as we head into the colder weather/holidays!

Congrats on the loss! I have a tough time on weekends too.

Can I join? I am 3 weeks pp right now. I'm back into the gym this week which feels fabulous. I am working with a nutritionist (& have been throughout my pregnancy) & on a diet focused on macronutrients - no sugar & no dairy. Today I am at 220, down 43lbs altogether & currently aiming for 190.
