Does Catching Whooping Cough Provide Immunity?

If a person/child gets whooping cough, does it provide immunity from any more infections of it or does a person just get a milder version?  another forum/website i read/post on claimed:

Actually... you cannot develop natural immunity to WC... You can contract WC multiple times throughout your life.

The best you can hope for is a resistance in that subsequent cases may not be as strong as the initial time, but WC can come back innumerable times.

anyone? i have never heard of it coming back multiple times..

Yes, you can have whooping cough more than once. I'm pretty sure I have, about 7 years apart. The 2nd time was not easier, until I learned about sodium ascorbate. Then it went away rather quickly after I started treating with that.

I've heard immunity from natural infection lasts around 5 years. The vaccine lasts only 3 years.

DS2 had whooping cough last year when he was 19 months old. I heard that you can get it more than once. I have to agree with ma2two that sodium ascorbate is the best treatment plan. DS was significantly better after just 24 hours of taking SA. I was also taking it in high doses since I was nursing him at the time. I also noticed a huge difference when using the homeopathic remedy Drosera. DS's cough was a lot worse when we ran out of the remedy. DS2 is the only one in our family who got sick and his coughing episodes only occurred at nap time and night time pretty much (as soon as he laid down). I videotaped his coughing episodes to show the doctor since I knew he would never cough in the office. She was fine with me not giving antibiotics and told me it most likely wouldn't help him anyways.
