my first was like that- I literally had to hold her to go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, eat.  - and listen to her scream if i needed a shower.  That's when I really missed things like cleaning!!!

AFM, i miss having to get 'permission' from another adult to take a shower so someone can cover for me.  That's been since DD was born so Im a little used to it- but don't enjoy it!!

I know exactly what you mean.  I really hope you feel better soon!!  Sucks when you can't just slip into a coma.  When I was sick when I was pregnant it was HORRIFIC.  All I wanted to do was dose myself up and sleep forever.

making dinners my husband and i can eat together.  I had a moment of insanity today and started prepping a dinner around 5pm- LO's awake/fussy time is typically 4-9 - what was I thinking????? DH held DS while i shoveled food down- DS fell asleep and now DH is eating.  UGH.  My hotel fantasy is that i get to have a long run. long hot shower with a glass of wine, get take out, eat in my room with a locked door - SILECE - with more wine, watch tv or read, eat a yummy dessert and sleep blissfully- as long as I need or want. AHHHHHHHHHH - some day it will be a reality.

A non-tantrumy toddler.  I didn't realize how well behaved Nora was until she began having all these attention-seeking tantrums.  I miss our sweet times together and our buddyship.

i still feel sad when i think back on those pre-tantrum days.  "Buddyship" so describes the feeling of a sweet 2 yr old who'd hold my hand and be excited to go anywhere - just to be with us.  3-4 were TOUGH- I am now sad that it seems like 4 1/2 is fun again- and it's hard to get 1:1 time- and outings are tricky with a newborn in tow :(

Right now I am missing my old Sunday nights- way back and pre-kids.   We would get pizza- the toughest thing we had to deal with was what kind, from where, and who would pick up.  Id drink lots of red wine and then sit blissfully folding laundry and watching The Sopranos.....I knew i had it made - but did i know how much????  I miss the ability to TOTALLY shut down and feel relaxed - some day Ill miss  THIS life....so for now, I will try to remember that?

Nald, I think that to myself every day; that I am going to miss this one day.  This is just one season of my life, and it's a very short one, and a very precious one.  Some day I will once again have more time and freedom than I know what to do with, and I"ll appreciate it so much more than I did pre-kids!  And, I'll be chasing down my boys wishing so badly that they'd come hang out with me!

I try to remember that the days are long but the years are short.  So far it holds true!!  Someday we will look back on these days so fondly.

I miss my college days a lot.  I thought that was so stressful then....I had no idea what was coming lol.  I wouldn't take anything in the world for my girls and I wish they'd stay small forever but I'd love to go back in time...just for a little while.  I just wanna see my friends and party one last time.

No kidding!  What I'd really love to do is when we had rainy days sometimes all us girls in the dorm would skip class, order chinese take out and watch movies together....so fun!  And relaxing!  Ohhh the good ol' days!

you guys are KILLING me here!!!! I miss being young enough to remember my college days - LOL!!!!  They were pretty damn good, now that Im reminded.  Here i am missing my days of going home to my own condo, shutting the door, long shower or bath, dinner, movie, bed, sleep til noon....AHHHH - I could be remembering GREAT sex- that one comes up a lot in my dreams these days- fun parties, great girlfriends right there all the time...Today sucked here so this thread probably isnt great for me right now if Im going to stay married :)!!!!!
