Is there a cheap way to keep ds rf longer?

My ds is 2 and is pushing the 1" of shell on the Scenera.  I would like to keep him rear facing longer, and dh would like for me not to buy any more car seats. eyesroll.gif   Is there a seat under $100 that would keep him rear facing longer?

We have a Maestro and a Nautilus for 4yo dd, so he will be able to move into those in the future, but I'll probable need another booster at some point.

The Avenue has a taller shell than the scenera and I think is under $100.  Sometimes you can find the myride for around $100 on sale if you're lucky.

Thanks.

It looks like they have the Avenue at Walmart, so maybe I can go sit him in the display model and take a look at it. And, yeah, looks like $63, which is awesome. I'm not sure I can talk dh into $129 for the MyRide -- we''l see.
