I thought we were in trouble when we couldn't spell things out like "ice cream" or "nap." Now we're in serious trouble.
DD ended up being a little freaked out about the tour. It wasn't really scary, and there were plenty of other kids there. It's kind of funny, because she likes ghost shows on TV. I guess the actors were a little much. She kept saying she was afraid someone would jump out at her, but we'd never take her to a haunted house. DH and I don't really like them at all. We all ended up enjoying it, though. They had actors in different rooms at the fort, like the kitchen and jail. They talked about the Donner party, the first curator that died on the site, etc. For Friday night entertainment, it was pretty cheap and educational to boot.
I can't believe how huge I've gotten. I was reading the blog of a mom here that gave birth to twins recently. I'm the same size she was with twins! Eek! Luckily most of it appears to be going to the belly. My hips seem like they're opening up, though. I've been doing pretty well during the day with eating, getting enough fluids, and drinking my herbal infusions. At night I'm pretty hungry, though. I'm trying to at least go for healthier things, like tuna sandwich, veggies, apples, etc. Sometimes I just have to have a treat, though. Tonight it was pie and ice cream. I've also discovered that the lime & vanilla wax melt we got at Yankee Candle is BAD for our diet. I moved it out of our bedroom after telling DH I couldn't be around it without irresistible cravings for sweets. After it was in the kitchen for a few hours, DH came up and asked me what kind of chemicals they put in the wax, because it made him feel ravenous. We caught DD with her head in the freezer, searching for sweets as well. Guess we won't be buying that scent again!
Tomorrow we need to go back down to the used bookstore. I had DH and DD take in a big stash of books, and the owner was excited to get them in. It was such a big stash that she asked if they could come back tomorrow for the total and payment. You get 1/2 of the cover price usually, or 1/4 in cash and 1/4 in store credit. I can't wait to spend that credit.
I've also got to try to get some sewing done. I had people sign some muslin for a quilt at my sister's baby shower a year ago. I meant to make a quilt, but DH stored it up high, and I couldn't find it for the life of me. His birthday party is Sunday, so I really should get it done. I'm hoping to get him a little outfit to go with the bee hat I made, too. I need to get a gift for my niece, too. Our family is WAY too big now, and my little sister hasn't even had kids yet!
