Dd has issues with food. No allergies, just intolerances. She is still nursing and is 19 months old.
Things were going mostly good (temperment, formed poops), but she still was not sleeping very well.
Â
Out of frustration of having such a limited diet I thought I would try some new things. We started giving her butter every few days and noticed that she was really gassy. I have stopped giving her it.
Then I gave her yogurt and then egg. It seemed like sometimes she would get red around her bum hole and other times she wouldn't.
So it wasn't quite clear. Her poops were formed at this point.
Â
Then her poops started becoming very loose, my cloth diaper nightmare. They have a different smell, sourish and had mucus 2x. However, they are not frequent. It is 1x day or every other day.
This has been for over a month now. What is weird is that she doesn't have the redness around her bum hole, which usually happens when she eats something not right for her. She has been sleeping HORRIBLY.
Â
She has not had yogurt since the 7th of Sept. We continue to give her egg every few days or so, she asks for it and likes it.
Â
She did one time have a normal smelling (that's weird to write) formed poop in the middle of Sept. That was 48 hours after she had eaten egg. And 24 hours after she had a monster poop that was like thick peanut butter and it smelled less different.
Â
She was recently tested at the dr office for giardia, cryptosporidium, blood, and something else I am not remembering. Tests were all negative.
Â
She has really gotten sick of eating such a limited diet and is starting to refuse items now.
She eats: avacado, banana, applesauce, chicken, spinach (not much), olive oil, zucchini, squash, blueberries, rice, quinoa, millet, and every couple days hardboiled egg.
Â
Now the dr. thinks she has "toddler diarrhea"
Â
***Edited to add: She started daycare 3x week around the time the weird poo started. The dcp says she watches so dd doesn't find stray morsels. They have played with playdoh (gluten??)
