Krunchy - Congrats on the PhD! And good luck with the job search. That's some interesting info about gender and stress levels. At the rate I'm going, I'm almost guaranteed a girl! I haven't logged into it in months because I've been too busy, but I love the Ravelry.com knitting site. Lots of fun stuff over there. :) I'm really wanting to knit more right now, so maybe I'll get back into it.
Shell - Welcome! I learned a lot about TTC by taking an email class from FertilityFriend.com . They walk you through the basics of how your cycle works to more complex stuff like reading your cervical mucus, charting temperatures, and other things. They also have an online charting tool that I've found really useful. I've been charting for over a year now and think I have a pretty good handle on that. Let me know if you have any questions. The Taking Charge of Your Fertility book that Krunchy recommended is really good too.
Thebyr - wow!!! I think you just set a record for earliest positive test! Congrats!! Sending lots of sticky energy your way.
I'm still in a funk... but haven't cried in four or five days, so I guess I'm doing a little better. I spent the weekend doing NOTHING but reading. Probably shouldn't have, but I got sucked in and read all three books of the Hunger Games trilogy in two days. We're on our way to visit my family for Thanksgiving... and starting the baby making marathon at the same time. Thank goodness for hotels... even overpriced hotels of questionable quality! I'm back to using OPK's for this cycle because I'm participating in a research study and have to submit a saliva sample and take some tests on ovulation day. So I bought the cheaper test strips instead of the pee sticks that I'm used to, with the intent to test twice a day. I've always had difficulty getting a clear positive OPK, which is why I gave them up. Anyway... the point of my rambling is that I'm glad that I won't have to explain the strange laboratory in the bathroom to any family members, since we're going to be in a hotel room instead of staying with them!

. Embarrassing.

Glad you're feeling a little better.
