We plan on charting and probably a cervical cap.

hahahaha!  I feel bad hijacking this thread with my sexual woes, but seriously I cannot/ will not have sex in the daylight because I feel like a cow.  Sheepish.gif

hehehe...see, and I just wish we could get 20 private minutes to ourselves at any time of day! :p  srsly tho, i think it's the belly getting in the way just as much as a lack of privacy =(

the more i think about it, the more i think we are just gonna have DH get the V.  no matter what we do, there's risks...but i think i'm at the point where we've researched the topic to death and just have to make a bullet-biting decision.  =/  we cannot have another baby after this..  I know ppl say that all the time, but, no REALLY, we just can't.  No money, no time, no sanity, health risks, and can i mention sanity again?  Yeah.

le sigh

Agreed, Krystal.  I mean, I just try to turn the stats on their heads.  Sure there is a 5% risk of complications (including temporary ones) so that means there is a 95% chance (maybe more, if you get a super-experienced urologist) that everything will be fine.  The risk of having another pregnancy with a poorly placed IUD is scary.  The risk of losing my sex drive due to hormonal BC is not okay.  The risk of pregnancy with FAM, NFP, or condoms is not okay with us either.  We're 27 years old, so we have MANY baby-making years ahead of us (like I said, we're so done though) so that's a lot of time to be preventing, too.  We just can't do it.  Big V it is.  I'm totally okay with that.

I agree with this and suspect that when we're done having kids that my DH will get a vas.  It's so much easier than dealing with all of those fertile years and having to worry.  The cost/benefit ratio favors the surgery to me.

Oh, what it must feel like to know you're done. I keep wondering what that would feel like and when it will come. Hopefully some day! The odds are not with me though... I have a sister who is 17 years younger than me. I think I have a hereditary baby bearing addiction.
