Congrats Val!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my parents cabin. DS rode his mini bike, we had a campfire every day, DD played guitar with Grampa, we took the kids for a walk through an abandoned train tunnel (it's dark in there and there's bats!) and they picked a ton of apples. None of us wanted to come home!

Last night DH put his hand on my tummy and the baby kicked it, so he pushed in and the baby kicked again. It started a game that went on for a few minutes! I'm surprised we didn't wake up the kids with our laughing :D

Hey all,

Checking in. I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow. Doing well. It's hard to concentrate on work these days. I'm enjoying the conscious motherhood course and buying cloth diapers from the consignment shops and Amazon.

Congrats to all the new BFPs and births. Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Congrats to all the new BFPs! It's amazing how slow and how fast the 40 weeks seems to go, all at the same time!

Congrats, VAL!!!

YellowDart- ??? =D

AFM: I'm 36 weeks on Saturday. I'm measuring 39 weeks, so the doctor is giving us another ultrasound next Friday to check on Conner's growth. He said if he's 9-10lbs at the ultrasound (He was 6.9lbs at the 34-week U/S), then we'll "discuss" getting him out early. GAH!!! I could be a Mom like, soon.

TTCCoC: Keep in mind that thsoe ultrasounds this late in pregnant can be anywhere from 1-2 lbs up OR down in the weight department. They are very, VERY far from accurate! A baby that they estimate is about 7 lbs could really be as much as 9 lbs or as little as 5 lbs. Do some online searching and a bunch of research before you let the doctor scare you in to getting that baby out sooner than nature intends. Your body knows what it's doing, and it's really, really rare that a woman's body will make a baby that is too big for her to deliver. Trust your own instincts, if your body is telling you that the baby is too big, then by all means look at options for him coming sooner - but it your gut tells you everything is fine, don't be pushed in to anything. Maybe offer to do weekly NSTs if the doctor is really concerned. Once you hit 38 weeks you can also look at natural methods to induce yourself (DTD, walking, castor oil) and if Conner is ready, he'll make an appearance smile.gif

Hey ladies, just wanted to stop by. I got my BFP this morning. joy.gif"The One thread" was my favorite place to hang out when I was ttc (although I got pregnant after only three months of trying).

According to FF my due date is June 26th. Do any of you know when the June club might be up?

SO EXCITED!

Congrats GradStudent and welcome!

Welcome GradStudent!!!  great to see you on the "other side"!!  Look for June DDC in the groups" section up top, they are groups now.. very confusing but yours is probably up by now?  I wish you were in ours!  I spend most of my time over there in May Group..

What a fun thread.  :)  It's great to be able to keep up with everyone.  :)

Can you please add me to the graduates list?

BubbleMa (Sarah), Due: May 7th, TTC for about 5 cycles (seems like much longer though) We used a calendar to track fertility and DTD accordingly.  We also used Pre-Seed, and I took Maca, and EPO. Baby #2 for me, #3 for SO, our first together!

So hi!  I have a baby!!

Julia was born at 7:19 am on the 11th.  I was induced for pre-eclampsia, which was terrifying at first, but it went really well (in hindsight!) and I got through it without pain meds and without pitocin (cervidil only), and now I have this amazing little thing in my arms making faces at me.  Babies are amazing, you guys!!

I haven't posted pix or a birth story yet.  I've mostly just been chillin.  I'll get to it though eventually.

VAL CONGRATS!  joy.gifjoy.gif Welcome Jacob!

And congrats to new BFPs!  It seems like a long long long time ago that I got my BFP, but I hung in there and it turned into a baby!  I still have all the pee sticks I did back then, maybe I'll take a pic with them and the baby.  :D

TTCCoC:  Julia measured anywhere from 60th to 80th percentile on her ultrasounds, and she came out 7 lbs 8.8 oz, which is almost exactly 50%.  Ultrasounds are kinda iffy about that stuff.  But YES, either way, you are going to be a mom soon!  I hope it goes awesome for you!!

I will update the list as soon as there isn't a babe holding down one arm.

ETA:  Updated!  Lemme know if I got anything wrong.  It is so great to see the list filling up with BFPs and babies.

Yellowdart!!! Congrats!! I'm glad everything went okay, pre-e is scary! Babies are amazing, after DS was born my dad made a comment about how you can sit and watch them and not realize the night is passing by, and he's right! My son is nearly 10 and I still feel like that, every stage they go through gives you something new to be amazed by.

I should do a better job of remembering to check this thread.  Congrats to Val and yellowdart!  You're mamas!  Sounds like you both had good births.  Enjoy your babymoon!

You can add that I'm due June 6th to my blurb if you get the chance.

BubbleMa, we're both here!  Maybe the pineapple core was the magic trick for both of us!

GradStudent, did you find us in the June DDG yet?

Congrats ValH and yellowdart!! Can't wait to see pics of your beautiful babies!

I'm 17 weeks on Wed!! I still don't look pregnant which seems to disappoint the general population lol. The NT scan was so amazing. Everything was perfect which was such a relief and seeing our baby squirming around was just unreal! My anatomy scan is booked for next week and I can't wait too see how baby's grown. I really hope he/she cooperates and keeps those little legs open for us :)

Congrats, YellowDart!!! WOO!!!

Welcome everyone else. This is the most active this thread has ever been, LOL.

As exciting as having my little boy like, tomorrow would be, I sit and think, "I have 26 days. I've made it this far. Why rush it?" I'm anti-induction unless medically necessary anyways. I do believe that he'll come when he's good and ready and I don't plan on forcing him out any sooner than that. It's like... Taking a bag of popcorn out of the microwave before it's done popping! Hahaha. That's how I look at it. My doctor knows I'm against induction, but it's still cool to get oodles of ultrasounds. Haha.

My work puts schedules up four weeks in advance, so my last schedule until after my leave was posted yesterday! They aren't scheduling me past my due date, but will let me come in and work if I haven't had him yet. It's bittersweet to know it's coming THAT soon. I'm so ungodly ready to conversate with strangers about things OTHER than my huge belly. I seriously considered making a shirt that says, "I'm due November 12th with a boy. His name will be Conner Dean. Yes, he's our first. Yes, we're excited." It would cut out a lot of the basic questions people ask. LOL

Here I am: 36 weeks, 1 days. Total weight gain: 38 pounds. No, those aren't gloves. LOL Those are the splints for my carpel tunnel. I hope that goes away as SOON as I have Conner. The doctor said it could leave immediately or it could stay forever. =(

Your belly is so perfectly round!  :)

I'm still happy to tell people all about it when they ask, but I do hate the question "Are you excited?"  And then they ask if SO is excited.

Congrats yellowdart and welcome baby Julia!

You look awesome in that pic TCCChloeOrConner!

AFM: I have my 1st midwife appointment tomorrow and I am really excited. So far, this pregnancy is going good with just the normal 1st trimester issues. Those have started to fade now and my energy is coming back. I'm 14wk 4d today! With my first pregnancy the weird symptoms start in week 13 so things are looking up.
