My MIL does this, and it pisses me off. She always goes on to add it's her "grand baby" but still. I'm pretty sure I went through the 10 months of being pregnant and the 13 hrs of back labor, thank you very much. That is my kid, not yours.
Today she handed off DS to some lady I don't even know her name. She said "well you've gotta ask mama first" TWICE, yet didn't actually ask my opinion. I was talking to DH nearby and the lady who wanted to hold him had her back to where we were. Well she ended up holding him for a minute. I get that old ladies love their babies, but still. I'd like to know the person who's holding him. It's bad enough they brush his head and play with his feet without even asking first.
