Any family practice recommendations in Bend OR. for a selective/non vax family?

I am going to be looking for a family practice doctor here in Bend this week and am not sure of how hard it may be to find one who is open to having a family who does not follow the typical vaccinating routine.

We've done some selective vaccinating and I was threatened by my previous fam. practice doctor that had he known I wasn't going to vaccinate, he would have fired me if I wasn't already getting ready to move away.

So with that happening, it's made me a little nervous about needing to find a doctor in a new place.

If anyone knows of a family practice doc who is open to selective/none vaccinating families in Bend, please let me know.:)

I don't know about a doctor for families, but for kids, we our DS saw Dr. Walhof when we lived there.  She was doing home visits only, so she obviously doesn't provide vaccinations.

I would avoid COPA (Central Oregon Pediatrics) with a ten foot pole if you'll be doing anything other than ceding absolute authority to the almighty CDC vaccine schedule, or anything else even slightly holistic.

If you do use COPA, Drs. Garza and Hedges would be the ones who won't give you crap about an alternate schedule.  Our pediatrician there is okay with us not vaxxing yet, but we have a hellish family history.  The rest of the staff, especially the nurses, are a pain the butt about it.  Dr. Chunn should be avoided.

I would second to be extremely, extremely cautious about giving the staff any information if you need to go through COPA.  Be as vague as possible with them, and let them know that you'll "discuss it with the doctor."  You don't need to be mean, but just vague if you can.  Be sure to only bring concerns to your specific doctor.
