Which Kindergarten curriculum would you recommend and why do  you feel that way.

Could you list few short strong points about why do you think it is good?

I am especially interested in non-religious oriented, secular curriculum that has been around for a while, has great reviews and represent high academic standards, has lots of online interactive actiavities etc...

Based on what you want, I don't know of an all-subject open and go curriculum that would work for you. You may want to decide on the subjects you want to teach and choose separate curriculum for each. In my experience, the curriculum available for the early grades is either academically sound or incorporates lots of online/computer based activities (the only exception I can think of is Math Mammoth). I think getting comfortable using a computer is important so, I let my kids play around on Starfall.com (a free phonics website) once or twice a week. Some feel differently, but from what I've seen I would not use Starfall as your only phonics program.

If academics are important I would recommend a math program which teaches using the Asian methods. We use Right Start Math and LOVE it. I know others LOVE and have great success with Miquon and Singapore. Any of those three will give your child a wonderful and rich math foundation.

For phonics, I would recommend Ordinary Parents Guide to Teaching Reading by Jessie Wise. My DS5 LOVES it. The lessons are short, the program is very thorough and she makes it fun for the kids (unlike other thorough phonics programs we've tried).
