Hair not really growing?

Normally my hair grows pretty fast, but it seems like this pregnancy it has hardly grown at all. I cut it to my chin in March thinking it would be long again by fall, but it's just now at my shoulders. Also, my leg hair growth has slowed down too. Is anyone else having this happen? I feel like maybe I'm doing something wrong and not eating enough protein or something and my body is prioritizing baby growth over body hair growth! Which of course makes me feel guilty.

Hmmm... my hair has been growing fast and is super thick... and I hate it! I am looking forward to shedding after the baby is born. It just doesn't look good in any style when it is so thick. Oddly enough, though, my leg hair has been growing much slower, like yours. I shaved on Sunday and it still looks pretty much the same now. \

Are you shedding less hair?

Oooh me too! My last hair cut was june 2010, and it was nearly to my waist. Cut it chin length. My hair usually grows pretty quick. Its STILL just around my shoulders. I think I've shaved my legs like once or twice this pregnancy and.. yeah, they're hairy, but not as hairy as they normally would be! There's an old wives tale that hair growth rate can predict the baby's gender :) I forget which though. Do you know what you're having?

We're having a boy :)  And yeah, I guess I'm shedding less hair, but it took a lot longer for shedding to stop than it did last time.

I noticed a difference in my hair thickness with my first (which was a girl) and with this one (unknown), but not my second (which was a boy).  With this one, I look like I almost have bangs b/c all the tiny wispy hairs around my hairline have grown inches.  It's crazy.   I stopped shedding with my first around 9 months pp, but with my second I was shedding forever, which didn't make much sense considering I didn't feel like I had gained any hair.  I've also noticed my leg hair is not growing very quickly this time (I can't remember with the other two), but the hairs around my nipples sure are!  Sheepish.gif  What's up with that?!

I'm having a girl, and I'm experiencing the same hair changes you are, Jaimee! I'm going to say you're having a girl........ can't wait to hear what you end up with, LOL. smile.gif

My hair has almost completely stopped shedding now. I used to have a ton of hair fall out of my head when showering pre-pregnancy, but it's gotten to the point this late in pregnancy where I might have a shower and not even shed one single hair! I love it. I have very thin hair normally, so I've been in love with my thick locks these past few months... I don't want to lose them. greensad.gif Besides growing slower, my leg hair is thinner and lighter than usual too. I finally shaved today. That was such a workout, my goodness... this belly is ridiculous!

Oooh I have the the hairline wispies too! Forgot about that. They kinda drive me crazy since if I put my hair in a pony tail they stick out. We don't know what we're having, but our guess is girl. I'm trying to not be too over confident about that though. I have to remind dd all the time that we really don't know! although I do have a problem that I've sewn way more girly items than boyish items.
