I am looking for recipes for Thanksgiving deserts (pumpkin pie, apple crisp?) that don't use refined sugar (a little honey is okay) for this weekend (I'm in Canada).Â

Tonight we had crepes using millet flour and standard crepe recipe. Filling was fresh strawberries. Topped with whipped coconut cream--Put regular (not light) coconut milk in fridge. Just before serving, remove cream from can leaving behind liquid. Whip with electric mixer for a couple minutes. Add 1 T vanilla, 2T honey, whip just a bit and serve on top of crepes (or whatever you're eating.)
Rather than look for recipes that specifically have alternatives for sugar, just take the recipes you already have and replace the sugar with your preferred alternative. I did that with a pumpkin pie recipe where I replaced sugar with maple syrup and it tastes so yummy. southern cooking
