Turning 1-YR with multiple allergies

My baby is EBF and turning 1-yr next week. He eats solids 3x/day though there's less than a dozen foods he can eat. He's tested positive to nuts, dairy, egg, lentils, shrimp, chickpeas, rice, seeds (pumpkin, seasame, sunflower). And has gotten rashes and severe eczema from many other foods -- some of which are still unknown as he gets them through my breastmilk.

I work FT and pump at work, but I'd like to either cut out some pump times or cut out daily BM consumption altogether. But I'm hesitant b/c of all the allergies. He's always been low-weight (5th percentile) and i worry that he won't get enough calories and nutrients on coconut or oat milk and solids.

Anyone else have experience with multiple food allergies and EBF?

Or anyone start giving their toddler alternatives to cow's milk at 1-year and still BF at night/morning?

Well pumping sucks. I agree. And no experience with allergies because my kids don't have them. But if you can stick it out longer, do. I pumped for a long time with my kids for "optimal nutrition" and I think it really helps. My first was really slow to solids (well fast, then strike for four months, then slow) so when we hit a year bm was a HUGE part of his diet. I pumped until 18m and he would never drink cow's milk and weaned pretty quickly after I stopped.

I think that if you wft you have to accept that your child may wean quickly when you stop pumping. It doesn't always work that way but fair warning. If you want bm to be a big part of their diet then pumping helps maintain that.

If you can't don't it any longer (supply, work needs, wanting to stab your pump with a plastic knife daily) I'd consider turning to a formula of some time suitable for your infant's allergies. You need some sort of fortified milk rather than cow's milk or coconut or whatever else if it composes the primary part of your child's diet.

Whatever your choose or need to do, congratulations on making it to a year. That is a HUGE achievement.
