Desperate need of home birth friendly ped in SE Michigan

I had a home birth on 10/1.  Many months before I contacted my peds office to discuss it with them.  They were very open about it and told me they see it regularly and it was great.  Well now I am literally being harassed by the DR she is even wanting my med files from the midwife and my last GYN visit.  So I need to find a new ped near Westland MI.  If anyone knows of one I would really appreciate it.

Ask them what they want from your files. Give them that info only(if you feel comfortable with it). Or, just say that you don't have the files, and just keep scheduling the appointments as you would normally.

Dr. Schindler in Novi (just south of 12 Oaks Mall) is very naturally minded.  I know he is not in Westland, but thought maybe he is close enough.  Also, he is not a Pediatrician - he is a family practice doc.  You will likely find better results simply not going with a pediatrician.  (not scientific, but this has been my experience)  HTH.

Amatullah0- She wants my records because she does not believe that I had proper prenatal care.  She wanted to give my newborn an HIV test and pretty much accused my husband of cheating on me with him sitting right in the room. Then she called me at home to tell me how many people "let" their babies die from syphallis.

Holy moly!!!! that is just unbelievable. Many hugs mama, that isn't right.   Liberty Pediatrics in Ann Arbor is good, but hard to get into.  last I knew they accepted 8 new families a month, first come first served (who ever gets their call in first)  Otherwise I agree, almost always, you will have better luck with a family doc unless you have a specific condition that needs a specialist.  Peds have certain requirements to follow and get nagged by their certifying boards too.  No excuse for crappy behavior, and too bad that so many of them get narrow vision.
