Harford County Birthing Circle

We are looking for new mamas to join our newly formed group, the Harford County Birthing Circle.  We have been meeting for almost a year, but would love some new faces.  Dads are welcomed and encouraged to attend, along with nursing babes!  There is a small area for younger children to play as well.  We usually have a speaker and time for open discussion. Some previous topics have been comfort measures during labor, acupuncture during the fertile years, birth stories sharing, how to avoid unnecessary hospital procedures, avoiding the Cesarean Section, nutrition during pregnancy, and natural cures for common pregnancy complaints.

Interested parties can join our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Harford-County-Birthing-Circle/174430425926206

All are welcome to attend no matter what birthing preferences they choose - the group is about giving support and information sharing.

This month's topic is Homebirth- we will have a local midwife, Karen Webster coming to talk about homebirth, and we hope to have another speaker who will be talking about the new legislative efforts in MD to legalize CPMs in our state.

Meetings are held the last Wed of every month 7-9pm at Optimal Spine Chiropractic in Aberdeen.  Beards Hill Plaza next to the McDonald's.

We are very excited about growing our group - hope to see some of you there!

This meeting is being held this Wed Oct. 25th - given the recent events regarding homebirth midwives in MD these past few weeks, it is essential that Harford County citizens band together to tell legislators that we do not want to lose Homebirth in Maryland.  Please join us!!
