alternative schools in/near Basking Ridge, Morristown or Hamilton/Princeton area?

hello folks

We're trying to figure out what to do school-wise for next year.  DS will be going into first grade, he's currently in his kindergarten year at montessori school.

I wondered if anyone knew of alternative private schools in the Basking Ridge/Morristown area?

The Wellspring School was in this area, but unfortunately it seems they recently closed.

Does anyone know anything about the Cottage School?  I think it's in Peapack...

We were also considering moving over toward the shore, I know of a couple of schools in the Red Bank area (Voyager School, Jersey Shore Free School and the New School...).

OR

Does anyone know of any alternative schools in the Hamilton/Princeton area? (DHs company is moving to that area...)

I feel like I should stand on the side of the road with a "will move for school" sign :D

hmmm, this posting got more complicated than planned...any comments are appreciated!

We are moving to Far Hills, so very close : )

I am going to look at the Cottage School next week, it looks wonderful and I've heard really lovely things (and I'm on the fence with homeschooling so that's saying a lot..) What about charter schools? There's Unity Charter in Morristown and Ridge and Valley which is in Blairstown NJ.

Also I found this link the other day which is a MAP of alternative schools in the area!

It's a little bit on the amazing side

hey, thanks for the post...I think I'm on a natural mom's meetup or yahoo group with you :)

thanks for reminding me about Unity!  we actually applied last year but didn't get in, but we will try again next year, it's looks like a great school...

Cottage does still have appeal, and the willow school looks beautiful, but is quite expensive...

we should get together sometime :)

Yeah! You totally are : ) Would love to get together, we are moving this week so we will be at our new house as of..next week? Two weeks-ish

Unity looks neat! I would def try again...I like Ridge and Valley's look a bit more but it's so far to drive from Somerset County. If you want me to let you know how Cottage goes this week, I totally will! Willow School is so so so expensive..I think they may have some sort of financial aid?
