My 18 month old has his second diaper rash..... the last time was over 6 months ago and seemed to be caused by yeast...I had a yeast infection at the time and his rash appeared yeasty...BUT also at the same time I had just started using (for about a month) a liner with his bum genius diapers.... I forget the brand but they are thin and disposable...I'm just using them to make taking care of poopy diapers easier (life is a bit chaotic these days). So while I didn't think they were the cause, I shyed away from using them for awhile..... now I've been using the liners again and he has a rash. This time I've been using them for about a week or so. His rash his brigh red...all over his tush and a bit on the scrotum....there are marks that appear to be blisters. Now my dilemna.... Obviously I can't use anything on his tush (and I prefer totally natural....my naturopath recommends aloe vera gel, vitamin e or a vinegar wash for treatment) without using a liner or I need to forgo the diapers and go to disposable.....??? How do I determine if it's the liner causing the problem....
Has anyone else had a problem with disposable liners causing a rash?
Would you just use disposables until the rash is gone or can I use any of the natural treatments with the BG's without causing a problem for the diaper??
